What is Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10% Benzoyl Peroxide?
Clean & Clear Persa-Gel consists of a topical cream containing 10% benzoyl peroxide (BPO). BPO is an antibiotic which targets one of the causes of acne, the overgrowth of Cutibacterium (Propionibacterium) acnes bacteria. Like many over-the-counter BPO creams, Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 contains 10% BPO. Studies have shown that 2.5% is better because it is just as effective as 5% or 10% creams while being less irritating.
Acne lesions are visible inflammatory lesions of the skin. Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10% Benzoyl Peroxide does not have any active anti-inflammatory ingredients.
